During this 'quiet' time at our Studio we take time to brainstorm on new projects.  We keep it quiet here around Valentine's day for many reasons, but mainly just to give us a break from it all and get to focusing on our clients.  You know the less floral elements of our fabulous job, answering emails, adjusting proposals, working on production, etc.

We've got two solid ideas in the works, and can't wait to share them with you.  We will be working on those projects for the next couple months and unveiling them soon.  But in the meanwhile let me share with you a quote and quick sneak peak of our future projects.

garden style

We got a pleasant surprise this morning as we logged onto our social media outlets and we had to share it! But before the pic let me tell you that this has been one of my favorites images of the year.  Why? It captures our style just perfectly.  We take so much effort in only working with people that understand our trade and the path that we have chosen.  This entails so much, but one of the more important aspects is understanding our style that is congruent with our brand.

Was there a time where we loved the challenge of creating different styles, absolutely.  What we noticed was the we excelled in a certain look, and believed that this was the essence of what we are and what our brand is.  We love flowers and curate them with so much love, attention and work, that a particular style demonstrates that best.  This is what I refer to as a garden style.  This is a fresh, loose, free flowing look.  Something we believe highlights our knowledge of design, allowing each bloom to be at its prime, and encompasses a romantic nature that is at the core of what flowers communicate.

flower crown love

On occasion we will get requests for the ever so popular flower crown.  Putting a flower crown on a lady has been one of the most fun experiences of my career.  Never could I have imagined the glow, and sheer, honest joy you get from a woman who gets crowned. She truly glows. We absolutely love making them when we can, and this bad boy was captured by the talented Laura Sanz.

february 6 workshops

We couldn't be more excited to beginning prepping for our next two workshops and our first set of workshops in 2016.  These are two separate workshops that offer a little something different. The same beginner's workshop is a crucial one for fun and to develop your skills to create something gorgeous for yourself at home.

And in efforts to develop the workshops further we offer a second workshop that helps develop your skills further with a large, lush arrangement with high-end florals. This Part 2 workshop will go further in depth and allow each student to learn further tricks of the trade.  We will also have a stroll into the back end of our warehouse.

Fun fact: we are the only Houston floral design team that is attached to a floral wholesaler.

This allows us endless opportunities that we could never have anticipated.  The wealth of knowledge from over a dozen old designers that now work in the warehouse to purchasers who see amazing product and bring in such amazing flowers.

But first amazing pics from our last in-studio workshop to give you an idea of what you have to expect:
