white wedding inspiration

Before I walked out the door to our photo shoot, with these beauties, I fell in love. So very much I was inspired to take some shots before I put them to work.  I trust my photographers, but they have so many shots to get in that I am a little afraid that the floral shots will get put on the back burner.

Most photographers get entranced by people.  Rightfully so.  But you can image where this gets them in trouble, with me.  I need the shots of the flowers!!! So in my efforts to make sure these beauties get captured the way they should, I spend a little time sweet talking them and give them their own photo shoot in the studio before sending them out.

amongst the events

We at Maxit Flower Design are known for our wedding flowers and event flowers, but on occasion we collaborate with other creatives to build our stock images and social media goodies. A couple months ago we collaborated with the very talented Hibiscus Linens to help her with such images.  Her amazing photographer caught her products and our florals just spectacularly.

These crisp, clean images are something to definitely swoon over and I couldn't be more excited to finally share these!

the tiniest of places

There is nothing tiny about Tiny Boxwood's.  But intimate, sophisticated, romantic... YES.  This has become one of my all time favorite venues in Houston.  Not only because of all that was previously mentioned, but because the people that work there are lovely and the atmosphere is perfection.  And the food... well that's stating the obvious.

We couldn't have been more excited when our bride, Lauren, contacted us to create arraignments for this intimate affair.  It was her vow renewal and it was a very special one.  And then we met her, and we were even more convinced that this was the perfect match.  She wanted a romantic, french provence aesthetic, which is secretly how I would get married.

This is what we created:

the view from my seat!!!

You guys everything is coming together and we couldn't be more excited.  Are you as curious as I am about people's day to day?  What does their office look like, what cool computer do they use, items on their desk, etc. ?  Well I am, I always want to know what people are up to, but from afar. :-) And of course that is why social media is so popular, because it quenches our thirst of endless curiosity.  And for the people who know me, I am curious to a fault.

For those of you guys that are exactly like me, here is a shot of my desk.  It's a little staged with the new Silk & Willow ribbon we go it for next week's wedding, but it is exactly what it looks like every day. I have my camera sitting right next to me and fresh flowers at my desk.  After all, I got in the industry of flower designing because I LOVE fresh flowers.  And you might wonder, is it always roses?  YES!!! The more scented the better.

I placed my desk so I can always face the outside.  If it's sunny, I never turn the lights on.  If as storm is rolling in, I've got a front row seat.  Life is good.

before anything else

Here it is you guys, a little sneak peak of the new Maxit Studio.  We have been working hard on getting the right pieces for such an important space and could't be more excited to give you this sneak peak.  I wanted to make sure to have a neutral space where creativity can begin.

A space where you don't feel overwhelmed by color, style and design that might not be spot on to what you want for your event/wedding.  Neutral, I believed, was a perfect place to begin.  Where ideas can develop and form to be something amazing.  A landing spot if you will for endless creativity.

There are still so many touches that are going to be added that I can't wait to slowly reveal them all as they get added to the space.
