I'm back

My gosh 2015 wedding kicked my butt!! It truly showed me who was boss and it wasn't me.  It was the most insane whirlwind of creativity, madness, joy, laughter and hard work.  But it was the best combination of things to create the most successful season to date.  With an amazing team at hand, we created some of the most gorgeous events and I couldn't be more proud.

For the next couple of weeks we will be concentrating on bring a new series of events/workshops, blog post of this past season and fully moving into our new studio!!! YES!!! It finally happened. After setting a goal to move into  Maxit flower design's first studio within the first 5 years of business... without really noticing... it happened.  I mean, don't get me wrong, I noticed (I do pay rent).  But I truly forgot that it was my goal to meet the 5yr mark.

My gosh, don't get me started on the importance on setting goals, writing them down, owning them, talking about them and making them come to reality.

So with out further a-do here is a wedding I absolutely loved creating.  This client was a combo, bride, groom and mother team.  They were super sweet, loving, hilarious and meticulous.  They wanted the most memorable, joyous and flower filled event.  And we couldn't have been more excited to have been asked to create flower arrangements for their special event.  This is some of what we created:

you know it's time

It's official! I have lost my mind.  Ok sorta, kinda, not really.   And I know it's not a subject to take lightly.  But OH MY GOSH. I thought I could handle this all.  And through one embarrassing moment after another, it's time to slow down and reevaluate. So for those caught in the cross wind of my insanity.  I apologize greatly.  I am a one man team.

At least when it comes to the day in - day out of it all.  It's JUST me.  So please hang in there, if you have a little bit of patience, I am your girl.  If you are in a hurry and need immediate responses to everything... not so much.

I am a creative, I am a designer.  I am not a secretary, nor office professional.  But I do my best. I PROMISE.

But today, I was subpar.  And for that, world, I apologize.   That is all.  Phew.

where do I even begin

What a whirl wind of events this Spring time has brought me. And we made it out alive!! And to think, this past weekend was my first weekend off since January! Yes!!! It's true.  At times I thought I might loose my mind and at other times I thought I was a worrier princess.  :-)  But when it all slowed down and really got a chance to reflect, all I thought was WOW! what an amazing life I have.

I have an amazing career, clients, friends, vendors and new employee that joined me for the ride. I am one lucky lady.  And will gladly say that 'lucky' only because I have worked my tail off to make it all happen.   SO I know I have been so far behind, but there is so much to catch you up on.

First, let me show you this beauty.  Deim & Gary were one of the kindest, trusting couples I had.  Their willingness to allow me to work my magic was a welcome change. (Ladies/Gentleman, my number one piece of advice to any one getting married or throwing an event: HERE IT IS: choose a vendor you love, and let them do what they love.  I promise it pays off.) Here is what we created for this sweet, beautiful, kind couple.

private design session

We couldn't be more excited than to have been contacted to create a day full of design and photography.  Julia, a bubbly, sweet and very talented business owner from Brazil, reached out to us to give her some secrets of the trade. She was looking to extend her knowledge base and learn a more garden based technique that is so very popular these days and proudly, Maxit Flower Design's signature design.

So off we went, spending the whole day reviewing techniques on boutonnieres, corsages, bouquets, centerpieces and much more.  We took a break for lunch and had Kendall Hannah met us to style and photograph our work from the day.  Bellow are some of the amazing pics she captured.  After the full day of designing, I knew this was exactly what we needed to capture the day.  A super talented photographer to capture it all.

We are even more excited to add this to the services we offer.  Please shoot us an email if you are interested in learning more about our one-on-one sessions.
