Happy New Year, rockstars! It's so hard to believe that this month has been so busy....I mean, this is the FIRST blog post of 2017 and it's the 27th. We are so ready for February. (A month of refreshing, renewal and maybe some relaxing?!) Until then, we are so incredibly excited to show off the wedding of Danni & Collier. 

We were so excited to get the happy email from Britt Latz Photography in our inbox with this gorgeous gallery. The blonde bombshell of a bride along with the dapper Collier truly made out work THAT much easier.

Danni & Collier were married at Chandelier Grove in Tomball this past October. Their white and green color palette included lush white florals, tons of gorgeous greenery and succulents throughout. The monochromatic arrangements really made the uniqueness of the venue stand out. One of our favorite details about the ceremony set-up was the draping covered in smilax and miscellaneous greenery. Y'all, A little greenery can really go a long way to make a rather simple space POP. Now that we mention it, We equally loved the large urn arrangements for the aisle. These arrangements were overflowing with roses, spray roses, hydrangea and greenery.

The bride dawned a bouquet filled with roses, succulents and greenery while the bridesmaids carried smaller bouquets filled with roses and greenery. The men kept it simple with boutonnieres made with greenery. The handsome groom rocked a spray rose and ranunculi. Their sweet flower girl was the star of the show with a simple flower crown made from babies breath.

Danni & Collier's reception was a gorgeous mix of garlands and arrangements. Arrangements were placed on stunning wooden tables. A gorgeous greenery garland was used on the head table.  Round tables were dressed with a gorgeous navy linen that really complimented our compote arrangements. We used blush & white roses, ranunculus, white hydrangea, blush spray roses and more greenery to create their dream arrangements.

We want to wish Danni & Collier many many years of wedded bliss. We are so truly honored to have been able to produce this event for them. The mix of white florals and greenery will always steal our hearts. Cheers to the newlyweds!

carolina + gus [tiny boxwood's wedding]

After an extremely long week gearing up for the last few weddings of the year, we are TIRED. Anyone in this industry (and really any industry) can probably understand. However, when we got to the office today our energy was fulfilled simply by checking our email! We got the best type of happy mail from David Williams Photography: an entire gallery of beautiful images from equally beautiful clients- Carolina and Gus! 

Carolina and Gus got married in May at Tiny Boxwood's here in Houston. Tiny's actually happens to be one of our favorite venues to work with and this wedding certainly didn't disappoint. If you haven't been there to brunch, walk around the garden or try the cookies - you absolutely MUST. (It is a well known fact that the cookies are the best in Houston....possibly Texas.)

Carolina and Gus' wedding day was filled with love, family and tons of gorgeous flowers. They chose white, blush, shades of pink and tons of greenery to pull their dream wedding together. Their ceremony was under a cozy tent on the main lawn. They wanted to keep the decor understated to really focus on the marriage. We love that!

With the layout of the venue, we really got the opportunity to create a few different looks for an overall cohesive event. We created some compote arrangements, garlands and bud vases for the reception space. Some of the flowers/greenery we used were:

• Garden Roses
• Spray Roses
• Eucalyptus
• Ranunculus

You can check out all of the reception gorgeousness HERE. Now on to the bridal party fashion: lets just say they were dressed to the nines! Carolina donned a gorgeous beaded and tulle gown with a hand tied bouquet filled with pops of pink and peach. She seriously looked like a model!

Gus wore a simple grey suit with a dashing striped tie. His boutonniere consisted of white spray roses. Very understated and stylish.

While they didn't have a traditional bridal party, they did have a bunch of cute kiddos in some seriously cute threads. The simple boutonnieres were made from eucalyptus and a spray rose. The flower girl bouquets were based off of the head table garland mixed with Carolina's bouquet.

Every little detail of this wedding was just spot on. We loved getting the chance to work with such an amazing couple. Heres to a lifetime of wedded bliss! Cheers, Carolina & Gus!!

Simple Wrapping DIY: Use white paper, tie with twine and add a sprig of greenery. 

There are so many things to love about the holiday season: the exceptionally chipper music, the familiar hearty food, the delicious cocktail and the cooler weather. However, one of the not so fun things about the holidays is coming up with unique gifts for that special someone/someones in your life. You can ask for ideas or lists but they never seem to tell you exactly what to buy! Thankfully for you, we have done all of the hard work this year. 2. A fashionable yet functional apron.

3. A basic Swiss Army Knife.

You never know when you may need a certain tool, so why not buy the tool that has them all! This is a great gift for people who don't like to carry a ton of weight and who may need something in a pinch. Purchase one from Williams-Sonoma here for about $40.

4. Some pretty floral art.

While we get the chance to work with flowers almost every day, its nice to have something beautiful to look at in your office while you aren't getting your hands dirty. You can even commission someone to create something personal for your favorite flower designer, like the one we had done for Maria. 5. A ticket to an educational workshop.

This may be the most expensive gift on their list but it is so incredibly beneficial to your designer's career. amber + adam [rehearsal dinner]

We had the honor of creating gorgeous arrangements for Amber and Adam's rehearsal dinner at Lawless Spirits & Kitchen in September. If you have never heard of Lawless, you seriously have to check it out. If you have an eye for design, a love of good cocktails or are into old historic buildings, it is absolutely a joint for you. It is always fun to see our work in places other than the typical wedding venue.

The gold chivari chairs were the perfect match to our gold compote containers. They really were the perfect pop and made everything feel THAT much more romantic. (Not to mention, the uplighting from the prohibition style bar is so dreamy. )

Amber & Adam chose red as their inspiration with touches of blush and lush greenery to fill the compote arrangements. We wanted to play off of the colors and flowers that they used for their actual wedding day while not mirroring them exactly. The arrangements are composed of the following flowers:

Amber & Adam were simply dream clients. (And can we talk about that rehearsal dress?!) We just love when our clients trust us to make such special, intimate events beautiful. she's engaged

So, we have to admit- we totally know this is so 2 weeks ago. BUT, with our crazy busy fall season & the holidays sneaking up on us, we just haven't had time to properly celebrate our fave Bachelor star & fellow Houstonian, AshLee Frazier! (Cue office dance party!)

For those of you who don't know AshLee: she was a contestant on Sean's season and made it to the final 3. She then went on to do Bachelor in Paradise. These days, she is a killer fashion/fitness/lifestyle blogger & all around cooler-than-we-will-ever-be #girlboss! You can find her blog here.

We can't believe it's been 3 years since we have had the opportunity to meet this rockstar. After brainstorming with some of our favorite creatives (Joseph West and Christina Landrum with Pomp & Circumstance),  I came to the conclusion that there weren't enough events that help meld the masculine and the feminine sides of event design.  The dark tones of masculine sensibilities and bright cheerful tones of feminine energy.  

We also thought it would be fun to play on the idea that she was on her hunt for her prince charming and grab the vibrant, fun nature of her personality. Flash forward to today and she has found him!
